Waste Shredders & Bag Openers

Shredding equipment is used at the pre-treatment stage of solid waste processing lines, where incoming waste needs to be opened, loosened, or reduced in size before sorting. Bagged municipal waste and light packaging are first handled by bag openers, which tear the bags apart without crushing all the contents inside. This allows recyclables, food waste, hazardous items, and other materials to be exposed for more accurate separation later in the process.

After the bags are opened, waste shredders reduce larger materials such as plastic, wood, textiles, and bulky waste into smaller pieces, making them easier to move through conveyors, screens, and separation units. Once the waste has been opened and reduced to a more manageable size, the following sorting stages can run more smoothly in municipal solid waste sorting lines, recycling plants, RDF/SRF preparation systems, solid waste recovery projects, and environmental treatment centers.

    1. Two-Shaft Shredder
    2. Two-Shaft Shredder Two-shaft shredders are used for size reduction in solid waste processing, especially when light materials separated by air separation, such as waste plastic, paper, cardboard, old textiles, and similar materials, need to be cut down for RDF fuel preparation or further recovery. 1. Waste Bag Opener
    2. Waste Bag Opener Waste bag openers prepare sealed plastic bags and light packaging in municipal waste before the material enters the main sorting line. Before sorting, these bags need to be opened so the contents can be properly exposed for screening, separation, or manual picking. View details
    1. Dual Shaft Bag Breaker
    2. Dual Shaft Bag Breaker Dual shaft bag breakers open plastic bags, woven sacks, and other bagged waste before sorting or shredding. The two bag-opening shafts rotate toward each other at different speeds, and their specially shaped blades tear open plastic bags and woven sacks without breaking down most of the material inside. 1. Stationary Pre-Shredder
    2. Stationary Pre-Shredder Stationary pre-shredders are heavy-duty pre-treatment units for mixed solid materials, including renovation debris from interior demolition or remodeling, bulky items, municipal refuse, and landfill stale material. They open plastic bags and woven sacks to then reduce large waste pieces before screening or separation. View details
    1. Feeder Bag Opener
    2. Feeder Bag Opener Feeder bag openers are used before sorting when bagged or mixed waste needs to be fed continuously and opened at the same time. After loading, the material moves steadily through the feeding section as rotor blades tear open the waste bags and release the contents. View details
